Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Publishing Manager to manage the complete publishing process, coordinate with authors and editorial teams, and ensure that books and other publications are completed on time and according to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete publishing process from manuscript to final publication
- Plan and monitor publication schedules and deadlines
- Coordinate with authors, editors, proofreaders, designers, and production teams
- Review and monitor manuscripts, editing, proofreading, and final layouts
- Ensure quality, accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation of publications
- Coordinate with the printing and production departments
- Manage multiple book projects simultaneously
- Maintain communication and professional relationships with authors and other stakeholders
- Monitor project timelines, costs, and production requirements
- Coordinate with the Managing Editor and senior management
- Identify and resolve editorial, production,



and publishing-related issues
- Maintain proper records of manuscripts, publications, ISBNs, and project status
- Support the development and implementation of new publishing projects

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of the book publishing process
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Positive command of English and/or Hindi language
- Strong editing, proofreading, and quality-control skills
- Excellent project and time-management skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google Docs, and other office tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Leadership and team-management skills
- Knowledge of printing and production processes will be an advantage

Qualification

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Hindi, Journalism, Literature, Publishing, Mass

Communication, Management, or a related field

Experience

- 3–8 years of experience in publishing, editorial, book production, or related field preferred
- Candidates with strong experience in managing book publishing projects will be preferred

Salary

₹40,000 – ₹80,000 per month (based on experience, skills, and responsibilities)
