About the Role

Position Overview The PR Executive will be responsible for building and managing the public profile of City Palace Museum and its associated brands across both traditional and digital channels. The role involves cultivating relationships with media, journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders, and driving coverage that reflects the organisation ’ s rich heritage and cultural significance. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a sharp editorial instinct, the ability to craft compelling narratives, and the drive to proactively generate meaningful visibility for the organisation.

Responsibilities

- Key Responsibilities Media Relations & Press
- Build and manage relationships with journalists, editors, and media houses across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
- Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and statements in coordination with the Marketing & Communications team.
- Proactively pitch stories and features to relevant media, and identify opportunities for earned coverage across news, lifestyle, culture, and heritage verticals.
- Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive media contact database.
- Digital PR & Influencer Management
- Identify, engage, and manage relationships with digital creators, bloggers, and influencers aligned with the Museum ’ s values and aesthetic.
- Coordinate influencer visits, collaborations, and content partnerships in line with campaign goals and brand guidelines.
- Monitor and track online coverage, mentions, and digital PR outcomes across platforms.
- Content & Communications




- Draft and edit a range of communications including press releases, media pitches, talking points, op-eds, and spokesperson briefs.
- Events & On-ground PR
- Provide PR support for institutional events, exhibitions, launches, and public programmes, including media coordination and on-ground management.
- Assist in organising press previews, media walkthroughs, and journalist engagements in coordination with relevant teams.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Track media coverage and compile regular clippings, reports, and analytics to measure PR performance and share of voice.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging PR opportunities relevant to the cultural and heritage sector.

Qualifications

- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor ’ s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or an adjacent field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a PR role, ideally within the cultural, heritage, hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.
- Demonstrated experience managing media relations and executing PR campaigns across both traditional and digital channels.
- Established network of media contacts across relevant publications and platforms is an advantage.
- Prior experience coordinating influencer or content creator partnerships is desirable.
