Synopsis

As a payment gateway operator (hereafter referred to as the operator), the individual will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the payment gateway. This includes coordinating with third parties, such as payment processors and other payment gateway partners, as needed.

Product Requirement

Strategic Planning: Spearhead the development of a comprehensive payment gateway strategy aligned with business objectives to increase transaction efficiency.

Vendor Management: Successfully negotiate and implement a cost-effective agreement with a new payment gateway provider by reducing transaction costs. If the same payment method is provided by other vendors at reduced cost, then determine their feasibility in other factors such as their payout methods and risk management to decide the final vendor.

Risk Mitigation: Implement robust security measures for the reduction in fraudulent transactions and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Financial Modelling: Develop financial models for payment processing, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.

Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends and patterns in transaction data, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.

Roles and responsibilities

Payment Gateway Team:

1. To check the scope of regions covered worldwide by the payment gateway
2.



To check the type of payment method covered by the gateway and whether it already exists within Ubuy's scope and its financial feasibility
3. Price/Rate negotiation with the gateway
4. If any new payment method, then understand their module and finalise.
5. To liaise with them for any defects, errors, payout delays, and failures.
6. Weekly /Monthly call to discuss them for more improvement.
7. Get a complete understanding of the payment gateway system.
8. Get an understanding of transaction security and liaise with the gateway team in case of disputes and chargebacks whenever it is required

Ubuy IT team:

1. 1. Enable the most financially feasible payment gateway by checking all listed payment methods and the payment methods to be integrated
2. 2. If any current payment method, then coordinate with IT for implementation
3. 3. Check daily/weekly payment method success rate and ask IT to enable/disable methods according to their failure/success rate (Globally or country-wise).
4. 4. Design flows to automate reports of any failures and dropouts in payment transactions
5. 5. Review payment failures with IT to determine if the failure is at ubuy end or gateway side

Ubuy Accounts team:

1. Operator will work closely with the Account and IT team. He will have regular calls with the account team and take their suggestions on each payment gateway
2. If any current payment gateway is finalised, then he will inform the account team and give them a demo of the complete gateway system.
3. If the account team is facing any issue/error in any payment gateway, then he will discuss/resolve the issue with the payment gateway team.
4. If there are any changes in the gateway, then he will inform the account team regarding changes.
