Role Description The Merchandiser for the Garment Export House at Art & Craft Exclusives will manage the complete merchandising cycle from buyer inquiry to shipment. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jaipur and involves coordinating with international buyers on product development, pricing, and order confirmations, while ensuring accurate interpretation of technical packs and design requirements. Day-to-day tasks include following up with sampling and production teams, monitoring fabric and trim sourcing, tracking approvals, and maintaining critical path timelines.

The Merchandiser will prepare costings,



order sheets, and production plans, oversee quality checkpoints aligned with buyer standards, and liaise with logistics for on-time dispatch. The role also requires maintaining clear documentation, handling buyer communications, supporting new collection development, and contributing to market and trend research for key categories such as women’s wear, men’s casual shirts, kidswear, and home textiles.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills for effective coordination with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams, including clear written and verbal correspondence.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to manage buyer expectations, handle queries professionally, and maintain long-term business relationships.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills to support price negotiations, understand market positioning, and contribute to collection presentation and brand alignment.
- Candidates should possess Retail-related understanding, including awareness of international fashion trends, consumer preferences, and seasonal assortments.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Apparel Production, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience in garment export houses, knowledge of production processes, costing, and export documentation is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Excel and other merchandising tools, and the ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines are valuable.
