What this role actually does: This is a technical sales role, not a generic account manager. The person owns a portfolio of key pharma and biotech manufacturing customers and is responsible for growing revenue by selling technologies and solutions that support their drug development and production processes. Think of them as a trusted scientific advisor who also closes deals, they need to speak the customer's technical language (how biologics, small molecules, injectables, and other drug types are actually made) while also running a disciplined sales process.

In plain terms, they will:

- Manage the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals, for a defined set of accounts
- Build relationships with people at every level of the customer's organization, from bench scientists to decision-makers
- Understand each customer's manufacturing and R&D; challenges well enough to recommend the right products or technologies to solve them
- Create and execute account strategies (both short and long-term)



to grow revenue in their territory
- Negotiate commercial terms, build quotes, and manage internal stakeholders to get deals done
- Keep a healthy sales pipeline and feed back market/competitor intelligence to the business

Who to look for:

- 3 to 7 years of experience in technical or scientific sales within pharma, biotech, or life sciences
- Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, or chemistry (or equivalent experience in scientific/technical sales)
- Proven history of managing key accounts and consistently hitting or beating revenue targets
- Working knowledge of biologics (vaccines, monoclonal antibodies), small molecule dosage forms (liquid, solid, injectable, ophthalmic), and novel drug delivery systems
- Comfortable negotiating commercial agreements and managing multiple stakeholders on the customer side
