# – Junior Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager

Experience: Fresher – 1 year

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com or MBA in Finance.

## Job Purpose To support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with statutory compliances, reconciliations, and ensure timely reporting.

## Roles & Responsibilities

- Day-to-Day Accounting: Record purchase invoices, expenses, payments, receipts, journal entries,

and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Vendor & Customer Accounting: Maintain ledgers, reconcile balances, track outstanding payments and receivables, and coordinate for pending invoices.
- Bank & Ledger Reconciliation: Perform bank, vendor, customer, and other ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- GST & TDS Compliance: Assist in GST and TDS workings, GSTR-2B reconciliation, and preparation of data for statutory filings.
- Expense Management: Verify expense claims, supporting documents, approvals, and ensure correct accounting classification.
- MIS & Reporting: Prepare outstanding reports,



expense summaries, reconciliation statements,

and other periodic reports.
- Audit & Month-End Closing: Assist in monthly closing, audit documentation, ledger scrutiny, and preparation of supporting schedules.
- Documentation & Process Compliance: Maintain organised financial records and adhere to company accounting procedures and approval processes.

## Key Skills Required
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally or Zoho Books.
- Robust attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.

- Accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries.
- Timely completion of reconciliations.
- Compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Timely support for monthly closing and audits.
