Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented, environmentally conscious, and hands-on Manager - Housekeeping to oversee the daily upkeep, cleanliness, aesthetic appeal, and linen/laundry operations of our property. In this role, you will lead the housekeeping team, ensure eco-friendly and sustainable practices in line with CGH Earth’s core values, and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and comfort across guest rooms, public spaces, safari gear areas, and outdoor amenities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Hygiene Management

- Oversee daily cleaning and room preparation for guest cottages/rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and outdoor recreation zones.
- Maintain rigorous standards of hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness across the resort, tailored to a rustic, nature-focused heritage workplace.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of guest accommodation, linen condition, guest supplies, and public restrooms.
- Ensure prompt turnaround times for guest room check-ins while strictly maintaining room quality and amenity standards.

2. Sustainability & Eco-Friendly Practices

- Drive eco-conscious housekeeping processes, emphasizing waste segregation, chemical reduction, plastic-free amenities, and sustainable laundry practices.




- Implement eco-friendly pest control and maintenance procedures suitable for a resort bordering a wildlife sanctuary.
- Conserve energy and water in all daily cleaning, laundering, and maintenance operations.

3. Team Leadership & Training

- Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, room attendants, and laundry personnel in customer service, safety standards, and eco-hospitality techniques.
- Prepare shift rosters, duty assignments, and leave schedules while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety guidelines, ergonomic practices, and proper handling of cleaning agents and equipment.

4. Inventory, Administration & Coordination

- Manage inventory control for linen, guest supplies, eco-friendly toiletries, cleaning chemicals, and housekeeping equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of linen turnover, loss/damage logs, chemical consumption, and department expenses.
- Work closely with Front Office and Maintenance teams to report room status, address guest requests, and resolve structural or cosmetic upkeep needs promptly.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Studies.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of hospitality experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role.
