Athyeka Cafe is looking for an experienced Finance Controller from the hospitality industry to manage and strengthen the company's financial operations across its cafe outlets. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in financial planning, outlet-wise profitability, food cost control, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Reporting

- Oversee the overall finance and accounting functions of the cafe business.
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L;) statements, MIS reports, and financial dashboards.
- Track outlet-wise revenue, expenses, gross margins, and profitability.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.

2. Food Cost & Expense Control

- Monitor food and beverage costs, consumption, inventory, and wastage.
- Analyse food cost percentages and identify reasons for cost variations.
- Control operating expenses, including staff costs, rent, utilities, and other outlet expenses.
- Coordinate with operations and kitchen teams to improve cost efficiency and profitability.

3. Budgeting & Cash Flow Management

- Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and budget-versus-actual reports.
- Monitor daily collections, cash flow, bank balances, and working capital.
- Oversee vendor payments, outstanding dues, and payment schedules.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of sales, cash, card payments, and online delivery platform settlements.

4. Internal Controls & Compliance

- Establish financial controls to prevent revenue leakage, unnecessary expenses, and financial discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate accounting of sales, purchases, inventory, and expenses.
- Oversee GST,



TDS, and other applicable statutory compliances in coordination with the relevant team or consultant.
- Manage bank reconciliations, audits, and financial documentation.

5. Business Coordination

- Work closely with the management and operations teams to improve outlet-level profitability.
- Review sales trends, average order value, gross margins, and operating costs.
- Develop financial processes and reporting systems as the cafe business expands.
- Recommend cost-saving measures and support strategic business decisions.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance or a relevant finance qualification.
- 1–020 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with mandatory experience in the hospitality industry.
- Candidates must have experience in cafes, restaurants, hotel groups, or similar food service businesses.
- Experience managing financial operations across multiple outlets is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of food costing, inventory control, outlet-wise P&L;, and hospitality business economics.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, MIS reporting, accounting software, and ERP/POS systems.
- Solid analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Industry RequirementCandidates from the hospitality sector only will be considered. Preference will be given to professionals who have handled finance for multi-outlet cafe chains, restaurant groups, or QSR brands. Candidates with experience exclusively in manufacturing, construction, real estate, or other non-hospitality industries will not be considered.
