: Fixed Income Testing Analyst

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Fixed Income Testing Analyst with strong knowledge of fixed income products, investment analytics, and data validation. The role will support testing, analysis,

and validation of fixed income data, risk measures, performance calculations, and portfolio analytics within investment management platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with investigating data discrepancies, and an understanding of fixed income instruments, performance attribution, performance and risk analytics.

Key Responsibilities

 Design, execute, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and data-validation test scenarios for fixed income investment management platforms.

 Validate fixed income data, portfolio attributes, returns, benchmarks, attribution outputs,

risk metrics, and reporting results.

 Test and validate bonds, structured products, swaps, and fixed income derivatives,

including pricing, cash flows, accrued interest, duration, convexity, yield, spread, and sensitivity measures.

 Analyze fixed income risk, attribution, and analytics outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.

 Investigate data discrepancies, calculation issues, and testing exceptions through root cause analysis and defect resolution.

 Perform data quality reviews and collaborate with Performance Management, Fund

Operations, Technology, and Data teams to resolve issues.

 Support user acceptance testing (UAT), release validation, production checks, and issue triage activities.

 Prepare test plans, test cases, defect reports, execution summaries, and supporting documentation.

 Communicate testing progress, risks, findings, and recommendations to business and technology stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in fixed income analytics, performance measurement, testing,



and reporting.

 Business analysis and platform-testing experience within investment management.

Experience validating calculation engines, market and reference data, security-level and portfolio-level results, and upstream/downstream interfaces is highly desirable.

Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Agile delivery, requirements traceability, UAT, regression testing, reconciliation and defect management is preferred.

 Strong understanding of return calculations, performance attribution, benchmarks, risk measures, and portfolio reporting.

 Strong understanding of fixed income products including government bonds, corporate bonds, agency securities, structured products, swaps, futures, options, and other fixed income derivatives.

 Experience testing investment-performance or fund-operations applications, data flows,

calculations, and reports.

 Expertise in one or more leading performance measurement platforms.

 Strong analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-

management skills.

 Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and expected results.

Preferred Qualifications

 Experience with Aladdin is preferred but not required. Candidates with robust fixed income analytics, attribution, risk, or performance measurement experience on other investment platforms will also be considered.

 Familiarity with SQL, data-query tools, test-management tools, and defect-tracking platforms.

 Knowledge of fund accounting, portfolio accounting, market data, and investment operations.

 Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science,

or a related discipline; relevant investment or testing certifications are advantageous.
