Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Technician role based in Chennai.

The Electrical

Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment used in EPCC projects across petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, and marine environments. Daily tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring that equipment operates safely and efficiently.



The role also involves reading and interpreting electrical schematics, supporting project teams during commissioning activities, and adhering to all relevant safety, quality, and HSE standards.

The Electrical

Technician will collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement in electrical operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Electrical Maintenance and working with Electrical Equipment.
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Electricity and basic Electrical Engineering principles.
- Candidates should possess proven Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving electrical faults.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience as an Electrical Technician in industrial, oil and gas, or marine environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety standards, HSE practices, and compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, and to use standard electrical tools and test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capability to work in on-site, field-based conditions.
