Role Description The Design Engineer (Bridge & Bearings Division), based in Bhopal, will work on the on-site design and development of bridge bearings, expansion joints, and related structural components. This full-time role involves preparing and reviewing engineering designs and drawings, performing calculations for structural and mechanical components, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

The Design





Engineer will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to optimize designs for production and installation, and support technical documentation, reports, and design revisions. Daily responsibilities include using CAD tools, coordinating with internal stakeholders, addressing design-related queries, and contributing to continuous improvement of products and processes within the Bridge & Bearings Division.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Design Engineering and Product Design.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering relevant to bridge and bearing systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D and 3D modeling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in bridge components, structural bearings, or heavy fabrication design is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Familiarity with relevant Indian and international codes/standards for bridges and bearings is an advantage.
