Key Responsibilities:

- Deploy, configure, integrate, and maintain open-source cybersecurity tools across endpoints, networks, servers, and cloud environments.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and events to identify potential cyber threats and suspicious activities.
- Configure and manage SIEM, security monitoring, log management, threat detection, and incident response capabilities.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, penetration testing, and security configuration reviews.
- Integrate multiple security tools into a centralized cybersecurity platform, enabling unified monitoring, threat correlation, and reporting.
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, endpoint security, and network monitoring solutions.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, prioritize findings, and support remediation activities.
- Implement threat intelligence, security automation, alert enrichment, and incident response workflows.
- Use AI tools and LLM platforms to support security analysis, automation, development, troubleshooting, and intelligent threat detection.
- Integrate AI models into cybersecurity workflows using APIs, SDKs, and locally hosted models where appropriate.
- Work with development teams on REST API integrations, log ingestion, security agents, data pipelines, and product enhancements.
- Test and validate product functionality, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve the reliability and effectiveness of CyberX Enterprise.
- Support cloud security initiatives across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Assist with security policies, technical documentation, and compliance requirements aligned with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and CIS Controls.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, attack techniques, open-source security technologies, and AI-driven cybersecurity innovations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security engineering, or a related field.

- Hands-on experience with one or more open-source cybersecurity tools used for security monitoring, vulnerability management, network security, endpoint protection, or incident response.
- Mandatory hands-on experience using AI tools such as OpenAI, Claude, Ollama, or other LLM-based platforms for technical problem-solving, security analysis, automation, or software development.
- Understanding of LLM integration, prompt engineering, model APIs, and connecting AI capabilities with applications or external tools.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, network protocols, and network security.
- Practical knowledge of SIEM, log management, endpoint security, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
- Experience with Linux and Windows administration, system hardening, and security configuration.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, scripting, integrations, log pipelines, and security automation.
- Understanding of common cyberattack techniques, vulnerability management, and incident investigation.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with product development, infrastructure, and security teams.
