Role Description The Chartered Accountant at SMARTANK will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial accounting, including preparation and finalization of financial statements, general ledger oversight, and accurate bookkeeping in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support business strategy and performance improvement for both SMARTANK and its clients.

The Chartered

Accountant will handle direct and indirect tax planning and compliance, audits, statutory filings, and coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies. The role also includes developing financial controls, supporting due diligence for strategic initiatives, and preparing management reports and dashboards for senior leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai,



requiring close collaboration with consulting, HR, and strategy teams.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting and financial reporting skills, including experience with preparation of financial statements, general ledger management, and adherence to accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
- Candidates should possess capabilities in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cash flow management to support strategic decision-making.
- Candidates should possess expertise in direct and indirect tax compliance, statutory filings, and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in India.
- Candidates should possess audit and internal control skills, including experience with statutory audits, internal audits, risk assessment, and implementation of robust financial controls.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in finance and accounting software (such as Tally, ERP systems, and Excel), along with strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to non-finance audiences and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized body; a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate high ethical standards, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment; prior experience in consulting, advisory, or high-growth businesses in Mumbai will be an advantage.
