Role Description The Captain role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bangalore Urban. The Captain oversees daily restaurant or banquet floor operations, including managing the service team, coordinating table assignments, and ensuring prompt, courteous service to all guests. This role is responsible for briefing staff before service, monitoring order taking and delivery, handling guest queries or concerns, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

The Captain collaborates with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service, supports training of new team members, and assists with billing, cash handling, and end-of-shift reports as needed. The role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction, teamwork,



and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Strong guest service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle guest feedback and resolve issues calmly and professionally.
- Team leadership and supervisory abilities, including experience guiding service staff, delegating tasks, and motivating the team during busy operations.
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards, table settings, menu presentation, and basic understanding of cuisines and beverages.
- Operational skills in order coordination, POS or billing systems, cash handling, and maintaining service-related documentation.
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across the restaurant or banquet floor.
- Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to coordinate with kitchen, bar, and management teams.
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or banquet service environment as a Captain or Senior Steward is preferred.
- Relevant hospitality education or certification is an advantage, along with willingness to work flexible schedules, weekends, and holidays.
