Role Description The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in agriculture and related subjects, delivering lectures, leading practical sessions, and guiding students through assignments and projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing instructional materials, assessing student performance, and providing academic advising and mentoring. The role involves participation in departmental meetings, curriculum enhancement, and college activities as well as engaging in research, publications, and extension work aligned with the college’s mission.

This is a full-time,



on-site role located in Lucknow, requiring regular presence on campus for classes, student consultations, and collaborative work with colleagues.

Qualifications

- Relevant academic background in Agriculture or a closely related discipline, typically a master’s degree (M.Sc. Agriculture or equivalent); a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Demonstrated teaching abilities, including lesson planning, classroom instruction, and student assessment in agricultural or related subjects.
- Robust research and analytical skills, with interest in conducting studies, publishing work, and contributing to agricultural innovation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support student mentoring, collaboration with colleagues, and participation in academic committees.
- Ability to integrate practical fieldwork and laboratory sessions into teaching, and familiarity with current trends and practices in agriculture.
- Commitment to ethical, inclusive, and student-centered education, with the ability to work full time on site in Lucknow.
- Prior teaching or academic experience at the college or university level is an asset; proficiency in English and local languages is beneficial.
