Role Description The Accountant role at HopingMinds is a full-time, in office position based in the Mohali district. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities include preparing invoices, processing payments, assisting with payroll, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting activities. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and assisting in periodic audits. The Accountant is expected to maintain accurate financial records,



provide timely reports, and support management in making data-driven financial decisions.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, such as preparing statements, supporting budgeting, and monitoring expenses and revenue.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools, including spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and ERP or finance systems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, compliance, and basic regulatory frameworks relevant to accounting practices.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational and time management skills.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, partners, and auditors.
- Relevant educational background such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CPA, CMA) are an added advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within an educational, training, or service-oriented organization, is beneficial.
