We are looking for a Technical Interior Draftsman who specializes in converting creative concepts into flawless construction sets. If you have an "eagle eye" for detail and understand how furniture and interiors are physically built, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Drafting : Develop comprehensive GFC (Good for Construction) sets, including detailed floor plans, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), and wall elevations.
- Joinery & Millwork : Create intricate shop drawings for bespoke furniture, wardrobes, and kitchen cabinetry, including internal sections and hardware specifications.
- Service Coordination : Draft precise electrical, plumbing, and HVAC layouts to ensure zero clashes during site execution.
- Site Verification : Visit project sites to take accurate as-built measurements and verify that execution matches the technical drawings.
- Revisions : Quickly update drawings based on site conditions or design changes while maintaining version control.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience :
2-5 years of experience in an interior design or architectural firm focusing on technical detailing.
- Software Mastery :
- AutoCAD (Expert) : You must be fast, organized with layers, and proficient in creating dynamic blocks.
- SketchUp : Basic to intermediate 3D modeling skills to understand complex spatial volumes.
- Technical Knowledge : Deep understanding of material thicknesses (plywood, MDF, stone), joinery details, and standard ergonomic clearances.
- Detail Oriented : Ability to produce drawings that a contractor can follow without needing constant verbal explanation.
