Key Responsibilities for an Accounts Executive Handling MOOWR

An Accounts Executive in this role focuses on ensuring strict compliance with Customs regulations and maintaining accurate financial records related to bonded inventory and duty liability

- Customs Compliance :

- Executing and managing the required "triple duty bond" with the Customs authorities, which secures the deferred duty liability.

- Coordinating customs inspections and audits and providing all necessary documentation.

- Accounting and Documentation :

- Maintaining precise, IT-enabled digital records of all imported goods, raw materials, capital goods, goods in process, and finished products.

- Tracking inventory movement using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method for accurate duty calculation.

- Handling documentation for both domestic clearance (filing Ex-bond Bills of Entry and paying applicable duties/GST) and exports (ensuring duty waiver).

- Accounting for waste and scrap generated during manufacturing and ensuring appropriate duty payment if cleared domestically.

- Financial Management :

- Calculating and managing the deferred customs duty and IGST liabilities, which improves the company's working capital and cash flow.





- Ensuring proper valuation protocols for goods and calculating duty payments when goods are moved to the DTA.

- Coordinating with the appointed Warehouse Keeper , a mandatory role responsible for supervising operations and signing documents on behalf of the licensee.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Strong understanding of the Customs Act, 1962 , and the MOOWR Regulations, 2019 .
- In-depth knowledge of Indian indirect taxation, including GST (IGST, CGST, SGST) , as it applies to both imports and domestic sales.
- Proficiency in accounting software and digital record-keeping systems for trade and inventory management.
- High attention to detail, strong compliance orientation, and positive communication skills to liaise with customs officers and internal teams.
- A background in a similar role involving other export promotion schemes like Advance Authorisation (AA), Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG), or Special Economic Zones (SEZ) can be beneficial, though MOOWR has unique, simpler compliance needs.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
