The Hotel Accountant is responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the Finance Manager in financial reporting and audits. The role requires coordination with all hotel departments to ensure proper cost control and revenue tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

- Maintain daily accounts, ledgers, and vouchers
- Monitor cash flow, bank transactions, and reconciliations
- Process vendor payments and staff reimbursements
- Handle daily revenue posting (Room, F&B;, Banquet, Other outlets)

Hotel Revenue & Cost Control

- Verify night audit reports and revenue summaries
- Check POS postings and billing accuracy
- Monitor departmental expenses and cost variances
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting

Statutory & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory norms
- Maintain records for audits and tax filings
- Support internal and external audit processes

Reporting

- Prepare daily revenue report (DRR)
- Prepare monthly P&L; support schedules




- Assist Finance Manager in MIS reports

Coordination

- Work closely with Front Office, F&B;, Stores, and Purchase
- Coordinate with vendors and auditors

Required Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) preferred
- 1-3 years accounting experience (Hotel industry preferred)
- Freshers with hotel internship experience may be considered

- Knowledge of hotel accounting systems (Finance, Tally,.)
- Strong knowledge of GST & basic taxation
- Valuable Excel skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills
