Job Summary : The Teaching Faculty at Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies is responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction, engaging in scholarly research, and contributing to the intellectual and spiritual development of students. The role involves teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and active participation in institutional activities in line with the academy’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities : Teaching & Mentoring :

1. Deliver lectures, labs, add-ons, and workshops in assigned courses.

2. Prepare and update course materials, lesson plans, and assessments in alignment with the syllabus every semester.

3. Use cutting-edge pedagogical methods, including ICT-enabled teaching, experiential learning, and outcome-based education (OBE).

4. Align curriculum delivery with defined Program Outcomes (POs), Course Outcomes (COs), and Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

5. Conduct periodic outcome attainment analysis.

6. Supervise student projects, internships, and dissertations.

7. Suggesting relevant study materials/periodicals/books on the courses for student reading and/or procurement by the Institution's library.

8. Participating in academic discussions initiated by the HOD/Coordinator.

Research & Scholarship :

1. Engage in high-quality academic research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present papers at scholarly conferences.

2.



Participate in conferences, workshops, and seminars to enhance knowledge dissemination.

3. Collaborate with other faculty members on interdisciplinary research projects.

4. Acknowledge Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (CAIAS) as your affiliated institution in all research projects, academic publications, and skilled engagements.

Institutional & Administrative Duties :

1. Actively participate in departmental meetings, staff meetings, institutional events, and academic audits.

2. Demonstrate loyalty and cooperation towards the Head of the Department (HoD) and actively support departmental initiatives and events.

3. Contribute to curriculum development and academic program enhancements (add-ons, remedial, etc.).

4. Participate in departmental and institutional committees.

5. Assist in student admissions and academic counselling.

6. Serve committees for curriculum design, NAAC accreditation, IQAC initiatives, student welfare, etc.

7. Contribute to outreach, extension, and social responsibility programs.

8. Maintain and regularly update student attendance, internal marks, and other academic records in the ERP system.

9. Ensure your faculty profile is consistently updated in the ERP portal.

10.Fulfil any other responsibilities assigned by the Principal/HOD.

Assessment and Evaluation : 2.Participate in Internal & External examination-related duties.

Mentoring and Student Support :

1. Provide academic and career guidance to students through mentorship,

Support students' personal and professional development.

1. Maintain records of mentoring sessions, tracking student progress, concerns, and development plans.

Professional Development : 1.Attend faculty development programs, workshops, and orientation sessions regularly.

2.Engage in continuous learning to remain updated with the latest trends in academia and industry.

3.Submit periodic faculty appraisal forms and reflect on the feedback received for continuous professional improvement.
