ROLE SUMMARY
Manages end-to-end raw material store operations — receiving, storage, and controlled issuance of materials with accurate record-keeping. Responsible for accurate receiving, counting, and documentation of all incoming raw materials and finished goods from production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate stock records; conduct periodic physical counts and reconcile with system
- Receive incoming raw materials; verify quantity and condition against Purchase Orders
- Issue materials strictly against authorized challans; verify item, quantity, and approval before release
- Record all inward/outward movements in the stock register or ERP (GRN, MIS, Gate Inward)
- Enforce FIFO, maintain store hygiene, and prevent pilferage or wastage
- Receive raw materials from suppliers; verify against PO, Invoice, and Delivery Challan
- Coordinate with QC for inspection; reject or quarantine non-conforming materials
- Receive and physically count finished goods batch-wise/SKU-wise against production orders
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and update inventory records for every transaction
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately to relevant teams
