Job Title: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) - English

Classes : VI to X (CBSE Board)

Job Summary : The TGT English Teacher is responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students of Classes VI to X as per CBSE curriculum. The role involves lesson planning, effective classroom delivery, assessment, student mentoring, and contributing to the overall academic and co-curricular development of students.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Responsibilities

- Teach English Language and Literature for Classes VI to X in accordance with CBSE syllabus and guidelines :

- Prepare lesson plans , worksheets, and teaching aids aligned with learning outcomes

- Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and literary skills :

- Explain prose, poetry, drama, and supplementary readers effectively.

Assessment & Evaluation

- Design and conduct periodic tests, unit tests, projects, and examinations :





- Provide constructive feedback to students to improve performance.

Classroom Management

- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment :

- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where required

- Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication skills

Student Development

- Mentor and counsel students for academic and personal growth

- Encourage participation in debates, elocution, dramatics, storytelling, and literary clubs :

- Promote values, ethics, and life skills through literature

Qualifications & Experience :

- Graduate/Postgraduate in English
