Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Job Summary The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) L2 Analyst is responsible for managing and controlling the lifecycle of IT hardware assets from receipt and inventory updates through deployment, movement, recovery, reconciliation, and retirement. The role ensures asset data accuracy, process compliance, audit readiness, and effective coordination across offshore operations, field support teams, service desk, vendors, logistics partners, procurement, and customer stakeholders. Key Responsibilities .1 Asset Lifecycle Management Manage end-to-end hardware asset lifecycle activities including procurement tracking, asset receipt, deployment, assignment, transfer, return, recovery, and disposal support. Ensure asset records are created, updated, and maintained accurately in the authorized asset management tool or CMDB. Validate hardware asset ownership, location, status, warranty, serial number, model, and assignment details. Support asset refresh, migration, recovery, and transition activities as part of business-as-usual and project requirements. 2.2 Inventory Management and Reconciliation Maintain accurate inventory records for laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, scanners, POS systems, network devices, peripherals, and accessories. Perform periodic inventory audits, physical-to-system reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution. Investigate missing assets, duplicate records, incorrect assignments, stock mismatches, and asset movement gaps. Monitor stock availability and coordinate replenishment or redeployment requirements with relevant teams. 2.3 Ticket and Request Management Handle L2 asset-related incidents, service requests, tasks, and fulfilment activities within defined SLA targets.



Coordinate asset allocation, recovery, transfer, replacement, and dispatch requirements with field and depot teams. Update tickets with clear notes, actions taken, dependency status, and closure evidence. Escalate aged, blocked, or high-risk asset tickets to the appropriate resolver group or management path. 2.4 Vendor, Depot and Logistics Coordination Coordinate with vendors, depot partners, logistics providers, procurement teams, and field engineers for shipment, receipt, repair, and return tracking. Track assets in transit and follow up on delayed delivery, failed pickup, damaged shipment, or missing proof of delivery cases. Support warranty validation, RMA coordination, and repair status follow-up with approved vendors. Maintain supporting documentation such as shipment records, return confirmations, repair references, and disposal certificates. 2.5 Reporting, Audit and Compliance Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly asset reports including inventory status, aging assets, reconciliation exceptions, movement tracker, and audit readiness metrics. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate asset evidence, transaction history, and control documentation. Ensure adherence to customer-specific HAM standards, ITAM controls, security requirements, and organizational policies. Identify process gaps,



recurring discrepancies, and control risks; recommend corrective actions and improvement opportunities. Skill Requirements Skill Area Expected Capability ITAM / HAM Process Knowledge Strong understanding of hardware asset lifecycle, inventory control, CMDB updates, asset reconciliation, audit support, and retirement/disposal processes. Tools and Platforms Working knowledge of ServiceNow HAM / ITSM, BMC Helix, Ivanti, ManageEngine Asset Explorer, SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, or similar tools. Data and Reporting Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, filters, data validation, reconciliation, and report preparation. Operational Coordination Ability to coordinate with service desk, field support, logistics, depot, procurement, vendors, and customer contacts. Documentation Ability to maintain SOPs, runbooks, trackers, audit evidence, and knowledge articles with clear and accurate information. ITIL Awareness Positive understanding of incident, request, change, problem, configuration, and asset management processes. Other Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline. 3 to 6 years of experience in Hardware Asset Management, IT Asset Management, Inventory Management, IT Operations, or Field Support Operations. Experience working in enterprise environments with multi-site asset tracking and offshore delivery support. ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
