Ansible Automation Engineer - Job Description

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities Playbook & Role Development : Write, debug, and optimize reusable, Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections. Platform Administration : Manage and administer Ansible Tower / AWX or the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) CI/CD Integration : Integrate Ansible workflows with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) API Integrations : Build integrations between Ansible and enterprise tools (e.g., ServiceNow, AWS/Azure, Jira, VMware) Troubleshooting : Monitor automation workflows, diagnose deployment failures, and provide L3 support for infrastructure-related issues.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills

Experience : 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, System Administration, or Platform Engineering. Ansible Expertise :



Deep understanding of Ansible components (playbooks, roles, Jinja2 templating, dynamic inventories). Middleware Knowledge : Good knowledge on middleware platforms (WebSphere Application Server, MQ, Apache Tomcat, ESB). Scripting & Coding : Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. OS & Cloud Knowledge : Valuable Experience in Linux/UNIX engineering (e.g., RHEL) and working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Version Control : Familiarity with Git workflows (GitHub/GitLab).
