Job title : SAP PP/QM Consultant ( Senior Associate )

Experience Required: 5+ Years

Primary Skills: SAP PP, SAP QM, SAP S/4HANA

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM), including end-to-end implementations, rollouts, configuration, integration, and production support. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional and technical integration knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, manufacturing processes, MES integration, planning system interfaces, and cross-functional SAP modules. The candidate should be capable of independently managing business requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, and stakeholder interactions.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP PP/QM Functional Expertise

- Demonstrate strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP Production Planning

(PP) and Quality Management (QM).

- Possess expertise in MRP, BOM, Routings, Work Centers, Production Orders,

Process Orders, and Capacity Planning.

- Manage SAP QM processes, including Inspection Plans, Inspection Lots, Results

Recording, Usage Decisions, and Quality Notifications.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of discrete manufacturing and process

manufacturing (PP-PI).

- Handle Batch Management, Batch Determination, Goods Movements, and

Production Confirmations.

- Support SAP PP/QM configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, and production

issue resolution.

SAP S/4HANA Implementation & Solution Design
• Participate in end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations, rollouts, and support

engagements.

- Conduct business workshops with manufacturing, production, planning, and

quality management teams to gather and analyze requirements.

- Prepare business user stories, requirement documents, functional specifications,

solution design documents, configuration documents, and test scripts.

- Drive solution architecture, business process design, standardization, and

optimization.

- Independently manage business requirements, functional deliverables, and client

interactions.

MES & External Planning System Integration





- Must have hands-on experience integrating Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

with SAP S/4HANA.

- Demonstrate expertise in Process Order IDocs, BAPI-based Production

Confirmations, and related integration processes.

- Possess strong knowledge of Batch Management concepts, including Specific

Batch, Document Batch, and Generic Batch.

- Must have experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with Blue Yonder, SAP APO, SAP

IBP, or other SAP/non-SAP planning systems.

- Design and support interfaces between SAP PP/QM and external manufacturing,

planning, and execution systems.

Cross-Functional SAP Integration

- Design and manage integration between SAP PP/QM and other SAP modules,

including:

o Materials Management (MM)

o Sales and Distribution (SD)

o Plant Maintenance (PM)

o Controlling (CO)

o Warehouse Management (WM/EWM)

o Batch Management and Warehouse Processes

- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, User Exits, BAdIs, interfaces,

forms, reports, conversions, and workflows, particularly related to New Product

Introduction (NPI).

Testing, Deployment & Change Management

- Develop comprehensive integration test scenarios, test scripts, and test cases.
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect

resolution, and troubleshooting.

- Must have hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), Change

Request Management (ChaRM), documentation, and transport

management/movements.

- Support deployment, cutover, post-go-live stabilization, and production support

activities.

Stakeholder Management & Process Improvement

- Collaborate effectively with functional, technical, and business teams to ensure

successful project delivery.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, standardization, and

operational optimization.

- Mentor junior consultants and coordinate cross-functional activities.
- Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies,



and solution decisions to

senior stakeholders.

- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder

management skills.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant SAP PP/QM experience in implementation, rollout, and support projects.

- Strong hands-on SAP PP/QM configuration and integration experience in SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise in discrete manufacturing and process manufacturing (PP-PI).
- Hands-on experience in MES integration with SAP S/4HANA, including Process Order IDocs and BAPI-based confirmations.
- Strong knowledge of Batch Management, including Specific Batch, Document Batch, and Generic Batch concepts.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration with Blue Yonder, APO, IBP, or other SAP/non-SAP planning systems.
- Strong cross-functional integration knowledge across MM, SD, PM, CO, and WM/EWM.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ChaRM, Solution Manager, documentation, and transport management.
- Experience in functional specifications, solution design, SIT/UAT, defect resolution, and production support.
- Ability to independently manage client requirements, stakeholder discussions, and project deliverables. Preferred Qualifications / Added Advantage
- At least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or rollout experience.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation projects within FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, or Life Sciences industries.
- Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and related SAP enhancements.
- Strong exposure to manufacturing process optimization, automation, and solution architecture.
