Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineering & Discrete Event Simulation Engineer with expertise in manufacturing process optimization, plant simulation, facility layout planning, and production efficiency improvement. The candidate will work on industrial engineering projects at customer locations across India, focusing on simulation, process validation, line balancing, and manpower optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, analyze, and improve manufacturing systems involving manpower, materials, equipment, information, and energy.

- Perform discrete event simulation and in-plant logistics simulation.

- Conduct plant and shop-floor layout studies and process validation.

- Analyze, validate, and optimize production cycle times and manufacturing processes.

- Optimize plant logistics, facility layouts, and system capacity.

- Develop and write operation codes using Siemens Plant Simulation software based on cycle time, layout, and process inputs.

- Perform manpower calculations using MOST analysis.

- Conduct line balancing and MTM (Methods-Time Measurement) analysis.





- Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve production capacity.

- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, and Theory of Constraints (TOC) to drive continuous improvement.

- Design and evaluate alternative solutions for gaps between target and actual system capacity.

- Prepare process documentation, work instructions, and technical reports.

- Support on-site validation and optimization of manufacturing processes at customer facilities.

- Train and manage project teams to ensure successful project execution.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience with Siemens Plant Simulation and Process Simulate.

- Knowledge of Micro Station and industrial engineering tools.

- Experience in discrete event simulation, plant layout, and manufacturing process optimization.

- Solid understanding of line balancing, MTM analysis, and manpower allocation.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and process documentation.

- Knowledge of statistics, TOC principles, and capacity analysis.

- Good English communication and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently at customer sites across India.

Preferred Experience

- Experience working with global OEMs and Tier-1 automotive or manufacturing suppliers.

- Exposure to European or US OEM projects will be an added advantage.

- Practical experience in plant environments, including process validation and optimization.

Employment Conditions

- Six working days per week, Monday to Saturday.

- Working hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

- Willingness to travel and work at customer sites across India is essential.
