Position Summary...
Walmart is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead technology delivery across Energy, Real Estate and Manufacturing within the Walmart US Store OPD organization. This leader will own engineering strategy and execution for federated Digital Twins, the modernization of proprietary meat and dairy manufacturing operations, and Goods Not For Resale (GNFR) supply chain and asset procurement systems.
The role connects technology investment to the everyday operation of stores, manufacturing plants, and GNFR facilities. You will partner with business and product leaders to improve energy efficiency, equipment reliability, manufacturing operations, and the availability of maintenance and replacement parts. You will turn complex operational problems into transparent requirements, sound technical designs, and measurable results.
You will lead engineering managers, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams through the full lifecycle of business applications and their integrations—from discovery and architecture through rollout, production operations,



and continuous improvement. Success requires business judgment, technical depth, and the ability to lead change across software teams and physical operations.

The team builds and operates technology that helps Walmart understand and improve its physical environments, modernize manufacturing, and support the assets that keep stores running. Its work spans digital representations and simulations of stores and supply chain facilities, IoT and automation in meat and dairy plants, and GNFR systems connecting stores, service technicians, and distribution centers.
