Manager, Software Development

Position Summary
Bentley Systems is seeking a Manager, Software Development to join the Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Portal team. The Portal serves as a foundational platform connecting Bentley's infrastructure solutions and enabling seamless experiences across projects, assets, users, organizations, and shared services.
In this role, you will lead a team of software engineers responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based platform capabilities. You will build high-performing teams while driving engineering excellence, technical execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives. Working closely with Product Managers, Technical Leads, Architects, UX, and Quality Engineering, you will help shape technical direction, contribute to architectural decisions, and advance Bentley's Infrastructure Cloud vision.

Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.




• Provide ongoing feedback, performance management, mentoring, and career development support for team members.
• Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent while supporting workforce planning and succession planning.
• Drive the delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based platform capabilities.
• Partner with Technical Leads and Architects to drive technical strategy, architectural direction, and key engineering decisions.
• Establish and maintain high standards for software quality, performance, reliability, security, testing, and operational excellence.
• Promote up-to-date engineering practices including Agile delivery, CI/CD, automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Align engineering execution with product strategy, customer needs, and business priorities to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
