ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Sports Partnerships Lead at ARYNA is a full-time, Hybrid role based in Mumbai. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with sports clubs, academies, sponsors, and community organizations, with a strong focus on football and pickleball sports initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and engaging potential partners, presenting partnership proposals, negotiating terms, and maintaining long-term relationships. The role also involves collaborating with coaching and operations teams to design and deliver sports programs, coordinating events and activations, and tracking partnership performance against agreed objectives.

The Sports Partnerships

Lead is expected to represent ARYNA at meetings, matches, and events, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with organizational goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

- Build and own a practical target list of leagues, tournament organisers, clubs, academies, turf operators, coaches and sports communities.
- Open doors, approach decision-makers,



run discovery meetings, prepare simple proposals and lead partnership discussions.
- Work closely with the founder and senior leadership on high-value relationships and close pilot agreements.
- Coordinate with the sport-specific executives to turn agreements into action: approved data, event listings, club profiles and athlete onboarding.
- Maintain a clear CRM/pipeline with owner, next step, deadline, status and expected contribution from every partner.
- Share weekly progress, blockers and learnings; recommend which partner types are delivering the most value.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

- Street smart, presentable and excellent in communication.
- 4+ years of experience in sports business development, partnerships, league/tournament operations, sports technology or related field sales.
- Evidence of personally building relationships and closing deals with organizations—not only managing marketing campaigns.
- Confident speaking with owners, league leaders, academy directors, coaches and venue operators.
- Robust follow-up, negotiation, writing and organization skills; comfortable working from a CRM or spreadsheet.
- Willing to travel around Mumbai and the wider Mumbai Metropolitan Region for meetings and field visits.
- Existing relationships in Indian sports are a strong advantage; sports-tech or community-platform experience is a plus.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THE FIRST 90 DAYS:

- A well-qualified partner pipeline with clear next steps and weekly reporting.
- 8–12 active pilot organizations across the team, prioritizing partners who contribute athletes, verified information, events, or recurring activities.
- Signed or confirmed pilot commitments are converted into live, usable partner activity—not left as verbal promises.
