About the Role

AniGears is seeking a highly experienced, energetic and technically sound Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering activities across business development, reverse engineering, production coordination and mechanical equipment development.

The candidate will be the senior-most member of the engineering team and will be responsible for taking ownership of projects from customer enquiry and technical discussions through design, production and final delivery. The role requires strong practical knowledge, independent decision-making and the ability to manage both field and production responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Technical Sales & Business Development
- Visit industrial clients and conduct technical and commercial meetings.
- Understand customer requirements, develop technical solutions, negotiate and close deals.
- Generate new business and maintain robust client relationships.
- Handle enquiries for mechanical components, power transmission products and complete mechanical assemblies and equipment.
- Reverse Engineering & Design
- Conduct site visits and take accurate measurements of components and assemblies.
- Prepare mechanical sketches, dimensional drawings and CAD drawings.
- Handle reverse engineering and product development for components as well as mechanical equipment, including roller assemblies.
- Possess working knowledge of industrial couplings, Cardan shafts, sprockets, pulleys and other power transmission products.
- Production & Engineering Operations
- Coordinate with vendors, workshops and production teams to ensure timely order execution.
- Understand machining, fabrication, fitting, assembly,



inspection and other relevant manufacturing processes.
- Ensure production adheres to technical drawings, specifications, quality requirements and delivery schedules.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and take prompt corrective decisions.
- Be prepared to transition between field engineering and production operations as AniGears develops its own manufacturing capabilities.
- Team Leadership & Project Management
- Assign tasks to junior engineers and monitor their progress and output.
- Review drawings, technical work and project execution.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, vendors and production to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Take ownership of projects from initial enquiry to final dispatch.
- Make independent decisions and remain accountable for technical, commercial and operational outcomes.

Candidate Requirements

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in industrial mechanical engineering, power transmission products, machinery or mechanical assemblies.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical components, their construction, applications and working principles.
- Proficiency in mechanical measurements, technical sketching, engineering drawings and CAD software.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Experience in technical sales, client handling, commercial discussions and team management.
- Energetic, proactive, decisive and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Important: We are looking for an experienced, hands-on engineer who can contribute from day one. Candidates must already understand industrial mechanical products and engineering practices. Basic product training will not be provided.

Compensation

₹30,000–₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and capability.
