Strong spoken English is the primary requirement for this role. You will be on calls with European engineers daily, asking and answering technical questions directly. We need someone who has already worked in an English-speaking environment — with international clients, an overseas parent company, or a global team.

The role

We are hiring an Electrical Design Engineer dedicated to electrical schematics for special purpose machines and automation systems.

You will work alongside our client’s electrical lead, who will provide templates, BOMs and oversight. What we need from you is the ability to take that input and complete the schematics correctly and independently — reading component data sheets, chasing down the answers you need, and asking the right questions when something isn’t transparent.

What you’ll own

- Complete electrical schematics in EPLAN Electric P8, from template and BOM through to issued drawings
- Reading and interpreting component data sheets drives, PLCs, safety relays, sensors, contactors, motor starters
- Panel layouts, terminal plans, cable schedules and wiring diagrams




- Device tagging, parts database and macro work to the client’s standards
- Generating and checking BOMs against the schematics
- Raising technical queries directly with the client’s engineers and closing them out

What we need

- Excellent spoken and written English, with proven experience working in an English-speaking environment
- 8–12 years in electrical schematic design for machines, panels or automation systems
- Strong EPLAN Electric P8. If your background is AutoCAD Electrical or SEE Electrical and you are confident converting, we will consider you
- Genuine data-sheet literacy — you can size and specify from a manufacturer datasheet without being walked through it
- Self-directed. You will have oversight, but nobody will be checking every line
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering

Nice to have

- IEC 60204-1 and machinery safety experience
- CE marking exposure
- Safety circuit design to ISO 13849 (e-stops, safety relays, PL ratings)
- VFD, servo drive and motor control schematics
- Experience with European clients or standards
