Role Description The New Product Development Engineer (Mechanical) internship at BALVI fabrication is a hybrid role based in RK Iconic, Sheetal Park, Rajkot, Gujarat, with flexibility for some work at shapar-veraval factory. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in the design and development of new mechanical products, preparing and updating CAD models and technical drawings, and supporting prototype fabrication and testing activities. The intern will collaborate with senior engineers to analyze design feasibility, review material specifications, and suggest improvements for manufacturability and cost efficiency.

Duties also involve preparing documentation,



maintaining project records, coordinating with production and quality teams, and contributing to problem-solving for ongoing development projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess foundational skills in mechanical design, including familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and basic drawing standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in product development and engineering fundamentals, such as understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and basic mechanics.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret technical data, perform basic calculations, and support testing and validation activities.
- Candidates should possess strong documentation and organizational skills, including preparing reports, maintaining design records, and following engineering change procedures.
- Enrollment in or completion of a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
