Role Description The Contract Software Engineer will work full time in a hybrid arrangement based in Bihar Sharif, with flexibility for some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs that power the SaathApp platform. The role involves writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, reviewing code from peers, and contributing to architectural decisions.

The engineer will collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering team members to deliver scalable, secure features, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance. The position also includes participating in agile ceremonies, ensuring test coverage,



and supporting deployments to production environments.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production-quality applications.
- Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, server-side frameworks, and databases.
- Candidates should possess skills in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and be comfortable applying OOP concepts to design modular, reusable code.
- Relevant experience with modern programming languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar) and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of web application security, performance optimization, and integration with third-party services.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage time independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
