Role OverviewWe are looking for a proactive, technically qualified and target-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to identify, engage and qualify potential customers for ANSYS engineering simulation solutions.
The role focuses on B2B prospecting, outbound engagement, technical lead qualification, meeting generation and sales pipeline development across engineering and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities• Identify and research potential customers across automotive, aerospace, defence, manufacturing, energy and other engineering industries.
• Generate leads through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn and digital prospecting tools.
• Engage with Engineering Heads, R&D; Managers, Design Engineers and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customer engineering challenges, applications and potential requirements for ANSYS simulation solutions.
• Qualify prospects based on technical needs, budget, decision-making authority and purchase timelines.
• Schedule qualified meetings, technical discussions and product demonstrations for the sales team.
• Follow up on leads from webinars,



campaigns, events and inbound enquiries.
• Coordinate with Account Managers and Application Engineers to develop sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, track follow-ups and manage the sales pipeline.
• Achieve targets for qualified leads, customer meetings and sales opportunities generated.

Required Qualifications & Skills• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil or Industrial Engineering – Mandatory.
• Experience in SDR, B2B lead generation, technical sales, inside sales or business development preferred.
• Robust understanding of engineering principles, industrial applications and technical customer requirements.
• Excellent communication, cold-calling, prospecting and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to confidently engage technical professionals and engineering decision-makers.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, LinkedIn and digital sales tool
