The Software Validation Engineer will be responsible for software validation activities related to automotive electronics products. This role demands a deep understanding of automotive infotainment systems and the ability to execute both automated and manual tests effectively.
Main Responsibilities:
• Create and execute automated and manual DVPs.
• Interact with team leaders to address issues and improvements regularly.
• Raise and monitor bugs through tracking tools.
• Develop plans to execute various test types.
• Create both positive and negative test scenarios for robust testing.
• Perform ECU flashing and smoke tests.
• Conduct peer reviews within the team.
• Validate systems using diverse testing techniques.
• Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
• Ensure software incorporates the latest features.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Electronics.
• 3+ years of experience in the automotive software validation domain.
• At least 2+ years of experience in automotive infotainment validation.
• Strong understanding of automotive infotainment systems and validation.
• Hands-on experience in grey box testing.
• Experience with automation for infotainment ECUs.
• Knowledge of software requirement analysis.
• Experience in developing and executing test cases from requirements.
• Core experience in testing infotainment features (e.g., BT, Tuner, Media, USB, WiFi, Android Auto, CarPlay, Navigation).
• Experience with ECU flashing and related tools.
• Hands-on experience in Python & CAPL scripting for test automation.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware, CANoe, and related diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS).
• Valuable exposure to debugging tools (e.g., Trace32, Segger, J-Link).
• Experience with configuration and requirement management tools (e.g., JIRA, DOORS, Git).
• Positive knowledge of testing techniques.
• Hands-on skills to design and implement test
