Finance Operations Executive at Josh Talks

Why This Role Exists
We are looking for a Finance Operations Executive who can bring accuracy, discipline, and efficiency to our day-to-day finance operations.
From processing payments and maintaining financial records to managing reconciliations, compliance, and reporting, this role is essential to keeping the company's finances organized and running smoothly.
A key responsibility will be to take end-to-end ownership of payment-related queries from the Data Team, ensuring timely resolution, explicit communication, and accurate tracking.
The Mandate
You will be responsible for three things:
• Keeping financial operations accurate and organized
• Ensure payments, invoices, accounting records, and reconciliations are maintained properly.
• Owning Data Team payment coordination and resolution
• Act as the primary finance point of contact for the Data Team, resolving payment issues, tracking pending payouts, and ensuring smooth payment operations.
• Supporting compliance, reporting,
and process improvement
• Assist with GST, TDS, payroll, audits, monthly closing, MIS reporting, and financial controls.
What You Will Be Doing
Data Team Payment Management and Query Resolution
• Act as the single point of contact for all payment-related queries from the Data Team.
• Take end-to-end ownership of payment queries raised by data contributors, vendors, freelancers, and internal team members.
• Coordinate with the Data Team to collect payment requests, approvals, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Track pending, processed, failed, and rejected payments and ensure timely resolution.
• Investigate payment discrepancies, incorrect bank details, duplicate requests, and transaction failures.
• Coordinate with banks, payment platforms, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
