About the role

We are hiring an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our client's team as an offshore engineer. You will design, build and maintain web applications on a .NET and SQL stack, working across the backend, database and front end.

This role suits a self-directed engineer. Once requirements are agreed, you will own delivery end to end with minimal supervision, collaborating with the client's onshore team across time zones.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain web applications and APIs using C#, .NET / .NET Core and ASP.NET (MVC / Web API).
- Design database schemas and write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, views and functions (SQL Server preferred).
- Tune query and application performance, and troubleshoot production issues.




- Build and maintain front-end features, working with React where applicable.
- Turn business requirements into technical designs, estimates and working features with little day-to-day oversight.
- Write clean, testable code with unit and integration tests, and take part in code reviews.
- Integrate with third-party services and internal systems via REST APIs.
- Work with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines to ship reliable releases.
- Communicate progress, risks and blockers clearly to the client's onshore stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

- 5+ years of professional software development experience in full stack roles.
- Solid hands-on experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core, including ASP.NET MVC or Web API.
- Strong SQL skills: schema design, complex queries, stored procedures, indexing and performance tuning (SQL Server preferred).
- Experience with an ORM such as Entity Framework or Dapper.
- Solid grasp of RESTful API design, object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Experience with Git and modern development workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Good to have

- Python: scripting, automation, data processing or backend services.
- React: building component-based front ends, state management and hooks.
