Job Title – AI Engineer – Agentic Solutions (Azure AI Foundry · Copilot Studio · Fabric)

Job Nature – Permanent

Work Location – Hyderabad

Experience – 4+ years software engineering, of which 1+ year building large-language-model-based or agentic applications. Open for talented campus hires from top engineering institutes

Purpose of the role

Build governed agentic and AI application components – model access, prompts, grounding, orchestration, tools, workflows, memory and guardrails – using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Microsoft Fabric and the CoE's approved reusable patterns, with automated evaluation, telemetry and controlled deployment.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement model access, prompts, grounding (retrieval-augmented generation), orchestration,



tools, workflows, memory and guardrails using Azure AI Foundry, Agent Framework / Semantic Kernel and Copilot Studio.
- Integrate governed Data Products and enterprise services through approved interfaces (Azure API Management, Fabric, Power Platform connectors).
- Create automated functional, evaluation, safety, permission, latency, cost and failure-path tests aligned with the CoE agent evaluation suite.
- Implement telemetry for model/agent behaviour, quality, usage, cost and operational diagnosis.
- Package components for controlled deployment, configuration, rollback and support through platform CI/CD.
- Document design, limitations, evaluation results, known failure modes and operational procedures.
- Apply Responsible AI and security controls defined by the CoE; contribute reusable components back to the pattern library.

- Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI: prompt engineering, function calling, retrieval-augmented generation with Azure AI Search, evaluations, content safety
- Agent frameworks (Microsoft Agent Framework / Semantic Kernel, Azure AI Agent Service) and/or Copilot Studio
- REST APIs, authentication with Entra ID, Git-based CI/CD workflows
- Understanding of observability (Application Insights, OpenTelemetry) and cost management for large language model workloads
- Microsoft Fabric / SQL for grounding on governed data; Power Platform low-code




- Azure Container Apps / Docker; Azure API Management policies
- Experience with large language model red-teaming or evaluation datasets
- Certifications: AI-102, AZ-204, PL-500 / PL-200

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data, Business or a relevant discipline. Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is an advantage.

The individual must be able to establish clear methods, make sound decisions, develop colleagues and progressively assume ownership from the implementation partner. Success requires confidence working across India and Europe and balanced judgement across delivery speed, reuse, security and Responsible AI.

This role helps establish a permanent ArcelorMittal AI capability, embeds repeatable engineering and control practices, and reduces dependency on the implementation partner through structured ownership transfer. Success is demonstrated when:

- Task and safety evaluations meet thresholds; permissions and failure behaviour are tested; telemetry exposes quality and cost; components deploy and roll back reliably; approved patterns are reused rather than re-invented.
- AI / agent components; prompt, tool and orchestration assets; grounding and workflow configuration; automated evaluation and safety tests; telemetry dashboards; deployment assets; technical and operational documentation.
