Flight booking staff (often called ticketing executives or travel consultants ) handle airline reservations for both domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Booking air tickets using Global Distribution Systems like Amadeus GDS, Sabre GDS, or Galileo GDS
Providing fare options, travel itineraries, and best routes
Handling reissues, cancellations, and refunds
Managing international travel requirements (visa info, baggage rules, transit rules)
Coordinating with airlines and customers for schedule changes
Maintaining customer records and booking details
Skills Required
Knowledge of airline ticketing and fare rules
Familiarity with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
Positive communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail (important for names, dates, passport info)
