Key Responsibilities: Diagnosis & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix malfunctions in electronic systems and components, often involving soldering and component-level replacement.Installation & Setup: Assemble, install, and configure recent electronic equipment and systems according to specifications.Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks, cleaning, and servicing to maintain peak performance.Testing & Calibration: Use test instruments (oscilloscopes, multimeters) to verify functionality and calibrate systems.Documentation: Keep detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and installations.Collaboration: Work with engineers and operators to resolve complex issues and provide updates.Safety & Compliance: Follow health, safety, and ESD (electrostatic discharge) protocols.Essential Skills & Tools:Technical Skills: Understand electronics, read schematics/blueprints, solder, diagnose hardware/software issues.Tools: Hand tools, diagnostic equipment (oscilloscopes, etc.), soldering irons, and potentially specialised software.Soft Skills: Solid problem-solving, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work independently and in a team.
