Role & responsibilities
Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance with applicable factory, environmental, and occupational health and safety regulations.
Monitor compliance with MPCB/SPCB requirements, hazardous waste rules, consent conditions, and other applicable environmental legislation.
Ensure plant safety across production blocks, utilities, warehouses, solvent storage areas, and engineering operations.
Conduct HIRA, JSA, safety inspections, risk assessments, and process safety reviews.
Implement and monitor PTW, LOTO, confined space entry, hot work, and work-at-height safety systems.
Ensure protected handling, storage, and transfer of hazardous chemicals and solvents.
Monitor fire protection systems, emergency preparedness, and mock drills.
Investigate accidents, near misses,



and unsafe conditions; ensure corrective and preventive action (CAPA).
Conduct EHS training, toolbox talks, internal audits, and contractor safety assessments.
Maintain EHS documentation, legal registers, statutory records, and compliance reports.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure protected plant operations and continuous EHS improvement.

Preferred candidate profile
Candidates with relevant EHS experience in the Pharmaceutical API / Bulk Drug / Chemical Manufacturing industry
