About the Role The Business Development Associate is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru. You will identify and qualify new leads, build and maintain relationships with potential partners and clients, and support the end-to-end sales cycle. This role involves regular in-person interaction with clients and stakeholders to expand Upcykal's presence in the e-waste and sustainability ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and qualify new leads to build a robust sales pipeline
Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners and clients
Conduct market research on trends, competitors,



and customer needs
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders
Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and maintain accurate records in CRM/tracking tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proposals, negotiations, and growth strategies

Requirements
Minimum 6 months of sales experience (B2B inside sales or similar)
Proven lead generation skills — prospecting, qualifying, and pipeline management
Market research ability to analyze trends, competitors, and customer needs (sustainability/recycling sector a plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with targets, metrics, and CRM tools
Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru with a genuine interest in environmental sustainability

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or a related field
Experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within sustainability, waste management, or technology-driven services
