Operate conventional lathe machines for turning, facing, boring, threading, and drilling operations.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Perform machining operations as per production plans and job specifications.
Select and set suitable cutting tools, tool holders, and work-holding devices.
Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ensure dimensional accuracy and maintain the required surface finish.
Conduct in-process quality checks and report any deviations to the supervisor.
Maintain machine cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
Follow safety procedures and use the prescribed PPE.
Perform basic machine maintenance and report breakdowns to the maintenance team.
Achieve daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Maintain production records and minimize material wastage.
