Lumus is Astrotalk’s platform for users in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. As a Counsellor, you will be the voice of Lumus. You will hold supportive, one-on-one conversations that help people feel heard, understand their patterns, and move forward with greater clarity in relationships, personal growth and life decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Build rapport in the first minutes of every conversation, so users feel comfortable opening up.
Practise active and reflective listening: paraphrase, validate emotions without judgment, and ask open-ended questions that help users explore their own thoughts.
Guide users toward their own insights and realistic next steps, rather than giving direct advice or telling them what to do.
Adapt your tone and approach to each user’s emotional state, cultural background and communication style across the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
Handle sensitive conversations with empathy, patience and strict confidentiality.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal English, with a natural, warm conversational tone
Robust active listening, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Background or interest in psychology, counselling, or human behaviour (a degree in Psychology or a related field is a plus, not mandatory)
