SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential
Five or more years relevant estimating experience construction, interior fitout, joinery, metalwork, cladding,

facade, electrical or signage.
Accurate take-offs from 2D drawings and written specifications.
Rate build-ups, and comparison of subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Advanced Microsoft Excel. Tested at interview.
A PDF measurement or take-off tool Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Cubit, CostX or comparable.
High standard of written English. Able to write a explicit RFI, assumption note and escalation without rewriting.
Demonstrated remote delivery to an overseas client team.
Degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, architecture, or interior or industrial design; or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Preferred
Pricing for an Australian, UK, US or Gulf client base.
Signage, wayfinding, shopfitting or retail rollout work.
Estimating inside a manufacturing company rather than a consultancy.
Experience submitting priced work directly to a client, with the judgement that goes with it.
RICS, AIQS or IIQS membership.
