Role & responsibilities
Work as a Shift Safety Officer and provide shift relief support.
Ensure effective implementation and compliance of the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system through field verification and audits.
Conduct regular safety inspections, area monitoring, and safety patrols to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and hazards.
Inspect, test, and maintain readiness of fire protection and emergency response equipment such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, gas detectors, SCBA sets, airline respirators, safety showers, MCPs, and emergency sirens.
Maintain inspection records, safety checklists, test reports, and documentation related to fire and safety systems.
Conduct safety induction programs, Toolbox Talks (TBTs), and safety awareness sessions for employees and contract workmen.
Monitor PPE compliance and ensure availability and proper use of required PPE.




Maintain PPE inventory and issuance records.
Train employees, contractors, and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members on firefighting, emergency response, rescue techniques, and fire prevention.
Organize and participate in mock drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency preparedness activities.
Attend incidents, near misses, and first-aid cases; support investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate and supervise fire crew activities and emergency response readiness.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly EHS reports and maintain compliance records.
Support statutory compliance, audits, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
