Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall direct tax function, including tax planning, compliance, assessments, and litigation management.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of Income Tax Returns, TDS returns, and other applicable statutory filings.
Manage tax assessments, reassessments, appeals, and proceedings before tax authorities.
Oversee tax audits, tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and reporting under applicable accounting standards.
Develop tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Monitor changes in the Income Tax Act, rules, circulars, notifications, and judicial pronouncements.
Handle transfer pricing matters, international taxation, withholding tax, and cross-border transactions, wherever applicable.
Coordinate with external tax consultants, auditors, legal advisors,



and internal finance teams.
Manage tax risk, identify potential exposures, and implement effective internal controls.
Advise senior management on the tax implications of business transactions, restructuring, investments, and strategic decisions.
Lead, mentor, and develop the direct tax team.

Required Qualifications
CA (Chartered Accountant) is preferred; relevant advanced tax qualifications may be an advantage.
Solid knowledge of Indian direct tax laws, Income Tax Act, TDS, tax assessments, and litigation.
Experience in a large corporate, MNC, manufacturing, EPC, or infrastructure organization is preferred.
