– MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Reports To: Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor
Job Purpose

To ensure the secure and efficient operation of hospital infrastructure, utilities, and engineering systems through preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and breakdown management.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pumps, and other building systems.
Attend maintenance complaints and emergency breakdowns promptly.
Monitor critical utilities, including DG sets, UPS, water supply, and medical gas systems within the authorized scope.
Conduct routine inspections and maintain maintenance records.
Follow hospital safety procedures, PPE requirements, and infection control protocols.
Coordinate with clinical departments and external service providers.
Report equipment failures, safety hazards, and major repairs to the supervisor.
Maintain tools, spare parts, and shift handover records.




Qualifications and Experience
ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a relevant technical trade.
1–3 years of maintenance experience; hospital experience preferred.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and workplace safety.
Safety Requirements
Follow permit-to-work and lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.
Use appropriate PPE and comply with hospital infection control requirements.
Perform only authorized work within the limits of training and competence.
Immediately report critical utility failures and safety hazards.
Performance Evaluation

Performance will be assessed based on technical skills, preventive maintenance completion, complaint response, safety compliance, documentation, and teamwork. Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
