Job Summary

Lead and oversee end-to-end transport operations, ensuring operational KPIs are met while optimizing costs through effective planning and continuous improvement initiative

Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day transportation activities to ensure timely and effective delivery of goods.
Develop transport plans and optimize delivery routes to maximize vehicle utilization and operational efficiency.
Monitor daily dispatch, delivery schedules, and transport performance.
Resolve operational issues and implement contingency plans to minimize service disruptions.
Ensure transportation services meet customer expectations and business requirements.

Fleet Vendor Management
Oversee the performance and maintenance of company-owned and outsourced transport fleets.
Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, roadworthy, licensed, and compliant with legal requirements.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and transport contractors to ensure service quality and cost efficiency.
Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs to improve overall fleet performance.

Cost Control Performance Management
Develop and manage the transportation budget.
Identify and implement initiatives to reduce transportation costs while maintaining service standards.




Monitor and report key operational and financial KPIs.
Analyze transport data and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Leadership Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop transport supervisors, planners, dispatchers, and drivers.
Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Ensure sufficient manpower planning to support business operations.

Safety, Compliance Quality
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Promote protected driving practices and investigate transport incidents or accidents.
Ensure all transportation records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
Support internal and external audits related to transportation operations.

Continuous Improvement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transport efficiency, customer service, and cost performance.
Identify opportunities to improve transport processes through technology, automation, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational excellence.
