RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of tooling layouts, concepts for mold, MDP Process is an added advantage.
Knowledge on Tool cost estimation
Prepare detailed designs/reviews, using 3D CAD software (CREO and / OR NX8)
Conversant with drafting standards, preparation of detailed design drawing with tolerances
Conversant with GPS / GD&T; systems.
Knowledge of MoldFlow/Moldex 3D.
Conversant on tool material, material specifications, Heat treatment & its process.
Conversant on Tool building, Tool assembly, measurement, testing and tool room processes.
Knowledge of Molding/Stamping materials & its specification
System know-how & ISO/TS requirements, Process guidelines (IATF 16949, and needed ISO)
Interaction with CFT/suppliers for reviews, trials, evaluation of component / tooling elements
Know-how Scientific Injection molding techniques will be an advantage.
Validate concept designs using simulation results and determine design robustness, critical to function requirements.
Involve in Kaizen vents to save costs & time. adopt standardized process and work methodology.
Track monitor metrics for sustained performance covering quality & delivery.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
PG/MTech/Post Diploma in Tool Design from NTTF or GTTC/ BE Mechanical with Tooling Background.
Knowledge on product, design processes and methodology.
Understanding of LEAN / 6 Sigma / Kaizen techniques will be an advantage.
